The Butterfly Project

Trailer for Philadelphia International Festival of the Arts

Wolf Performing Arts Center's production of The Butterfly Project tells the story of children in the concentration camp of Terezin during the Holocaust. It is based on a true story. A school teacher Irena illegally educates the children and records their stories in poems, drawings, and essays. These were buried when transports began to Auschwitz, and later recovered by the Red Cross during the liberation.

We traveled with survivors and performed at schools all over Pennsylvania. We performed at the Philadelphia International Arts Festival in April 2013, and then reunited to travel and perform in Prague, with a finale performance in the Attic Theatre at Terezin.

Artist-in-Residence for "Finding Kankakee"

June-Aug 2014: I was living in downtown Kankakee, making and facilitating art with the community. Our inspiration was the exploration of Kankakee County's personal narrative. The mission of the residency was to cultivate a shared sense of culture and joy.
